After graduating with a degree in fine arts from Philadelphia College of Art, marrying, and raising four beautiful children, helen brought together her love of people and her artistry to create helen’s photography.

“On the wall of our studio office, I have an image of my mother held as a newborn in my grandmother’s arms taken by my grandfather who was a professional photographer. Written on the back of that image is a penciled name and date, Kathryn, 1914.

“As a professional photographer, I am so privileged to provide my wonderful clients with beautiful images that capture the essence of their child or family which they adore. It is so neat to see a satisfied high school senior get excited about his or her images or a mother be moved to tears as she views her beautiful newborn. I know these images will be heirlooms because by nature, we cling to what we hold dear. Family is so important! Relationship is so important! And to capture a mother with her newborn, or to capture a young couple whose expression and body language communicate their love, is a very special passion of mine. How privileged I am to be able to provide my clients with lifetime memories in beautiful, timeless imagery.

“Helens Photography started in 1990, in the living room of her home on “C” street in Hollister. In 1991 we relocated our studio to a beautifully restored Victorian home on the corner of 5th and Powell Street – at 508 Powell Street –where it is today. Gardens and bay windows plus a dedicated studio and gallery make this an ideal location to serve our clientele.
